Suzan Hamideh grew up in Al Mazra’a Al Sharqiya, a town northeast of Ramallah, Palestine, and is passionate about creating a legacy for the next generation of Palestinians in diaspora.
Suzan is the Cultural and Event Director for House of Palestine. She helps coordinate the HOP Lawn Program Festival as well as gather authentic cultural artifacts and curate the cottage exhibits. Suzan also serves as the media spokesperson for House of Palestine to connect people from all around the world to the Palestinian narrative.
Additionally, Suzan founded, and has been serving as the Dabke instructor and choreographer for the Zaytouna Dabke Troupe since 2003. She coaches several Dabke groups across all ages to perform at the HOP Lawn Program Festival, the Balboa Ethnic Food Fair, and December Nights at Balboa Park.
Outside of House of Palestine, Suzan is the owner of SoCal Events and Designs and a private Chef and caterer for special events. She loves to travel, bake, and spend time with family.
Suzan lives in San Diego with her husband Mohammed and their 4 children, Baseel, Amira, Kareem, and Jannat, all of whom participate in and support the HOP programs. It is a family affair!
