My name is Julie (Beshara) Kashou, and I am the Membership Coordinator for the House of Palestine. I am happy to be volunteering for such an important organization here in San Diego.
To educate all the millions of people that will come through Balboa Park in the future is worth all the time and energy spent in my position.
I have lived in San Diego for the past thirty-three years since I married my husband, James Kashou. We met at a Ramallah Convention in New York City in 1988. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and my parents are direct descendants of Ramallah, Palestine. I was raised very in a very Palestinian household being of first generation in the United States.
My Interests outside of work and volunteering is spending time with our friends and family, I love to play golf, I love to watch soccer games as well as other sports. Traveling is at the top of my list of things I like to do.
My husband Jimmy and my children Brandon (31) and Danielle (28) are my life, and I would do anything to keep them healthy and happy. We are blessed to welcome our new son-in-law Samir Juha to our family as of October 1, 2022. We are thrilled to welcome his family into ours as we became one family.
My goals for my position on the Board of The House of Palestine is to generate as many members from our community and around the globe to our mission, to preserve our Palestinian Culture and educate as many people as we can.
